Course Options:

3 hour Awareness course

Aim of the course:

To have an understanding of what supervision is and why we need it.
To have an understanding of how supervision can benefit staff, service users.
To understand what supervision should contain and the need for good preparation and documentation.
To recognize the importance of the skills you bring to the supervision process, and how this may influence the quality of supervision.

Course overview:

List the key skills that you need to be a good supervisor
Explain what supervision is and why it is needed
Identify possible barriers to supervision
Explain the benefits of supervision for staff, service users and to the organization.
Identify the content of a supervision session.
Explain how to prepare for a successful supervision session.

Any member of staff that has the responsibility of supervising

A minimum of 3 participants
A maximum of 10 participants

You don't need any prior knowledge as it will all be covered in the course
