Course Options:

3 hour Awareness course

Aim of the course:

  • To have an understanding of what supervision is and why we need it.

  • To have an understanding of how supervision can benefit staff, service users.

  • To understand what supervision should contain and the need for good preparation and documentation.

  • To recognize the importance of the skills you bring to the supervision process, and how this may influence the quality of supervision.

Course overview:

  • List the key skills that you need to be a good supervisor

  • Explain what supervision is and why it is needed

  • Identify possible barriers to supervision

  • Explain the benefits of supervision for staff, service users and to the organization.

  • Identify the content of a supervision session.

  • Explain how to prepare for a successful supervision session.

Who can take this course?

Any member of staff that has the responsibility of supervising

A minimum of 3 participants
A maximum of 10 participants

You don't need any prior knowledge as it will all be covered in the course
