Aim of the course:

To introduce participants to a higher level of the concepts behind basic food hygiene and the terminology used
Course objective:

Discuss and list terminology used in food safety

To be able to name the laws that apply to food businesses and food handlers

Be able to describe the requirements of current regulations

Recognise food hazards and how to reduce the risk of food poisoning

Describe how to take product and equipment temperatures and how temperatures affect bacteria
-
Discuss risks to food safety
-
Completion and passing of a multiple choice test

Who can take this course?
Suited for any member of staff but aimed towards kitchen staff

How many can attend?
A minimum of 3 participants
A maximum of 10 participants

Do I need prior knowledge?
Ideally, you will have a level 1 food hygiene certificate
